The Ghana Education Service, GES has sent a reply on the reaction of teacher unions to a report of the new academic calendar for 2022. The unions have questioned the manner in which the new academic calendar was designed and the necessary consultation that went into its planning. The Ghana Education Service, in its latest press release issued today Tuesday 18th January 2022, has assured that it ready to meet with the unions and address the various concerns raised by the unions.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday 20th January 2022. “We wish to assure parents, teachers, students, and the general public that GES will work closely with the unions and other stakeholders to ensure that the 2022 academic calendar is not disrupted”, the press release stated.
