Many teachers are worried about when they will receive their purchased laptops, till now no proper update from the GES and teacher unions has been released on how far the distribution is ongoing across the country.
The 1 Teacher, 1 Laptop policy aim is to ensure all teachers in Ghana own laptops to enhance ICT literacy in schools.
During a tour of the Volta and Oti Regions the General Secretary of GNAT, Thomas Musah, revealed that the distribution of laptops to teachers in Junior High Schools has begun nationwide and it would ensure all teachers receive their laptops as promised by the Government.
Mr. Musa revealed that;” teachers in all regions with the exception of Ashanti and 2 districts in the Oti Region have received their laptops.”
He added; “We will do the necessary follow up and ensure the outstanding ones [laptops] are supplied”, he assured.
The General Secretary of GNAT promised GNAT members to negotiate for befitting salaries, while implementing policies to enhance the livelihood of members.
