For instance, former Germany U21 striker, Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer has revealed why he switched nationality to play for Ghana at international level.

He said; “My father comes from Ghana; he would be very proud of me if I could now play for his fatherland. In addition, it is probably easier to become a national team player there,” he told German news outlet the Bild.

The young attacker joined Hamburg in the summer transfer window from Bundesliga III side Dynamo Dresden.

He added; “I would be willing to play for Ghana. I met Otto Addo last December before he was national coach. Since then we have been in close contact. I already take care of the Ghanaian passport. I would be happy if I could attend the next international matches in September.”
